Jean Aitken:

CLASS OF 1972
Denver, CO

Jean's Story

Hi Friends: I graduated in 1972 and went to college at, what was then, Mesa Jr. College in Grand Junction, CO. In 1977 I got married to a man who was a retail shoe store manager. Because of this, we moved to AZ, MS, CA, MN and eventually back to CO. Our first daughter Anna was born in CA in 1984, soon to be followed by Chris in 1986 and Mary in1990, both born in MN. After being divorced in 1993, I moved back to Denver and went back to school, while working for Great West Life. I was laid off in 2002 and went to work for a third party administrator of health insurance. At the same time I was continuing my education at Regis University.I received my bachelors in Health Care Administration in Dec. 2011. My daughter Anna, has been...Expand for more
a linguist in the Army, now getting her bachelors as a sign language interpreter. She has given me three grandchildren, now 5,6, and 7. She is living in Oregon. Chris has a bachelors in computer science, now living in New Mexico and expecting a daughter in June. Mary is at Concordia University on NE and getting a bachelors in secondary education (history and theology), hoping to teach in a Lutheran High School. I am currently living in Aurora, CO, working at Lowes Hardware after being laid off in 2009. I hope to find a job in the health care field to take advantage of my degree. I look forward to hearing from others in the class of 1972 and finding out where they have been in 40 (can you believe it) years since graduation.
