Carole's Story
Life
I moved to Palm Springs in 1967 and never left. I love the desert and have a cabin in Pine Cove in the San Jacinto mountains when I can't take the summer's 120 degree weather. I have three children and a step-son.
My oldest daughter, Cheryl, lives in San Francisco with our Grandson Jonathan who is 12; my daughter Nancy lives in Palm Springs with her husband; my son Brian died in a motorcycle accident at 21 while away at college, and my step-son Chris lives in New Hampshire with our other grandson Vaughn - both grandsons are born on December 5th.
My second husband Jon and I will be married 29 years in June. He has been an amputee for 30 years but manages to keep up with me which is really commendable as 5 hours of sleep is my norm and I am up at 4:00 am watching the glorious sunrises on my front porch with a cup of coffee and some Ray Charles, BB King or Creedence playing.
College

ing San Diego State in 1964, getting married and having three children, getting divorced and remarrying I finally got back to college and graduated from Cal State San Bernardino in 1989. I would love to go back and get a Masters but they don't have classes at 4:00 AM or 11:00 PM which is my free time - but one never knows.
Workplace
I worked at Desert Hospital and ran the Pathology Department for 25 years ad retired Dec. 31, 1999. Loved the job, did autopsies, never got any complaints from my customers and found the work fascinating. If I had it to do over I would probably liked to have been a forensic pathologist - love watching CSI!!
"Retired" and got an insurance license and came to work "part time" with my husband in 2000. I'm not a great salesman but I love customer service and keeping things orderly. I would have made a great actuary. Numbers, charts and graphs and a balanced checkbook are my things.
