Life
Life after high school,,,,,,,, (Warning: English majors, this is one big ass run on sentence, don't worry I'm going back to school this summer to get my learn on)
Well I went up and lived in Idaho for, what felt like the 3 longest months of my life, came back to my senses and moved back home for a while, joined the United States Air Force, got stationed in Washington D.C (was supposed to fly out to D.C on September 11, 2001, yeah that freaked me out, instead I was sent home for 2 weeks while everything was getting sorted out) stayed in DC for a year and a half where I met my current boyfriend of 3 1/2 years, then got stationed in England, stayed there for 2 years, went to Germany, Belgium, France and Scotland, had the best time of my life overseas and now I am out of the military trying to get a degree in what, I don't know yet, I hate school I don't think I'll ever like it, I just need that piece of paper to get a good job, even though I've had 4 years of experience and training from the USAF. That sums it up,,,,,, I now live in Virginia with my boyfriend Josh.
School
LV Midway:
If you went to Midway School, you are part of the original class, I'm talking about; Joey G., Kelsey S., Connie L., Jody W., Megan and Mariah B., Katrina P., Crystal R. just to name a few. I was in Mrs. Railsback's class, she was the tallest lady I had ever seen at that time I thought she was a giant. One of the memories I have of Midway is sitting on the (whatever color) tape on the floor and listening to the "Alphabet Songs" all the letters had associations with things, like the letter "C" was the cotton candy guy, you know what I'm talking about "H" was the Hairy guy, well anyways I remember that. I remember going out to recess and playing on the big ass tire, funny story I was playing in the tire one day and saw the biggest tarantula, yup I have arachnophobia to this day because of that spider. Oh yeah, when we had graduation and we were all sitting in the grass area I totally pissed my pants, how gross is that, I was to scared to ask to go to the restroom, ask Melanie S. she used ask the teacher for me in 3rd grade, thanks Mel.
Elementary School:
These were good times, no boy issues, just hanging out with the girls out at recess, those were the days. I remember the insect looking thing with the poles you can slide down on, everyone would pretend to be baby bugs, I also remember Crystal R. and Nathan her cousin or something pretending to be cats all the time and at that time I thought that was the coolest thing and they totally thought they were to cool for me and didn't let me play, I was so sad!! Anyways, in 3rd grade that's when I met Melanie Suttle and we became friends, we were Mrs. Knox's favorite students, oh yeah we were teacher's pets. I guess there was a rumor that Melanie and I had our own New Kid's On the Block club,,(Megan&Mariah) to this day we don't know what you guys are talking about, we never had a club just thought I'd clear that up if anyone else thought that, we were devoted fans though. I had the biggest crush on David Chiriac, but didn't show it because I was extremely shy. Do you guys remember "Friday Flip Up Day" how perverted is that, on Fridays girls who wore skirts got them flipped up by the boys. I remember in 4th grade in Ms. Miller's class we had to take her dog "Shadow" out to relieve himself, does anyone remember when Morgan Ast blew chunks right in front of the classroom door on the ramp, that was so gross it was like chili beans or something I'll never forget that. I remember when me, Melanie and Ricky Lechuga were swinging on the swings and they both ran into each other and I think Melanie got a fat lip and Ricky had this huge baseball sized lump on the back of his head, it wasn't funny at the time but it is now. I always loved the last day of school, where we had the "fun day" tug of war, cake walk that sort of thing, I remember the last day of it might of been 3rd or 5th grade me and Becky Mcfarlan were playing the water balloon toss and out of no where David Chiriac came up from behind and gave me a kiss on the cheek, I was so embarrassed and happy at the same time, I was all about him back in the day. Good times.
Middle School:
Hated it, I was fat and boy crazy, it sucked. Kelsey Shank and I became good friends during these awful ...Expand for more
times, we kept ourselves entertained with inside jokes that we still share today. We were totally obsessed over Angelo Lechuga. I hated middle school, that's when clicks started to form and I lost most of my elementary friends.
High School:
Oh my "Chola-gangsta" phase, I know you guys remember that shit, I packed on the make up like there was no tomorrow. Me and Leticia had our own little crew, I remember hanging out with German, Richard and Chivo. I think it was in tenth grade when I got with Daniel, and pretty much just hung out with him till I graduated. Well we did get to party allot, I remember going out to Tim's house, does anyone remember when John R. puked into the flower pots,,go to "colleges" to finish my school memories!!!!!!!
College
continued from "School" memories,,
Tim's parties were always fun to go to, especially the jacuzzi,,good times!! Going out to the Buttes was always fun, hearing Cory's band play that one time was pretty cool. One week during Senior year, Kelsey and I took a week off of school just to hang out, we called it our "Ditch week" it was awesome. Graduation day was cool, but the only thing I remember from that day is sitting next to Fred and hearing him sing "Big Pimpin'" that JZ song and that is all I remember, I don't remember any of the speechs or anything because that song was going through my head throughout the ceremony, Those are just some of my memories of High School, I have tons of pictures that I want to post, yup I always had a camera in someone's face. Well hope ya'll had fun with my memories.
Military
I left for "Boot Camp" also known as Basic Military Training on 31MAY01. I flew into Texas and arrived at Lackland AFB (San Antonio) at 11pm stepped off the shuttle and right off got my head ripped off by my T.I. BMT was fun at times but totally sucked at other times, I got to meet all kinds of people from around the country. I was made an element leader, yes I had to call cadence and I was in charge of the people in my element (yeah me in charge, scary) BMT lasted only 6 weeks, we got to go play in the field and play war games, it was f-ing awesome, it flew by I was in the best shape of my life. I graduated BMT on 13JUL01. It was hot as shit out there I was there in Texas Jun-Sept the hottest months of the year. I went to my tech school in Witchita Falls in "Texoma" border of Texas and Oklahoma nasty part of the country gross. I had a blast out there though because of the friends I made. I graduated Tech school on 06SEP01 I finally got my orders to Bolling AFB, Washington D.C. I was outprocessing on 11SEP01, it was a crazy day for all of us, we all know where we were that day. Well I wasn't allowed to go to D.C for obvious reasons, so I went home for 2 weeks and did recruiters assistance. Then I finally got to my duty station. It was a cool place to live, didn't like my job, but who does. I saw my future boyfriend the first night I got there. Cute story, I got in late (my dumass missed my flight from Atlanta) so I got there around 11pm to the dorms where I was going to live, well in the lobby there is a common area with a big screen tv and a pool table well I'm checking the place out and I see this hottie playing pool and I thought to myself "UUUMMMM yeah, I'm going to like here" well I went on my way not thinking anything about it, well first day at work and the hottie I saw in the lobby is there, yeah he works at the hospital**SWEET** Anyways I had butterflies and all that jazz each time I would see him, I would get so embarrassed,,,long story short we finally started talking outside of work, we ended up dating or whatever and we've been together ever since. I got orders to England around Jan03 I left for England on 10MAY03 had a blast over there, I worked at a hospital doing health admin, made a bunch of awesome friends over there, traveled a little bit, came back and saw Josh a couple of times and he came out to see me so it wasn't too bad we made it through a long distance relationship, I got out of the military to go to school in Dec04 and came to live in VA well I love the military so I decided to join the West Virginia Guard (why W.V, because there were no slots available for my job in VA, DC or MD) And now my next adventure will be going to Iraq for 120-190 days in mid September. It should be an experience.
