Xai's Story
Life
I am married now for 7 years and have a 2 wonderful little girls named Kaitlin who is 6 and Serina who is no more than 2 months. My husband Jason, who I met while I was stationed at Fort Bragg, is still in the service. He has left again to Iraq on his second tour. I got out of the service in 2004 after 9 years. For those who knew me then when I was really small, I haven't gained as much weight. I am about 112 now compare to 96 then. I still look the same, if not better. I still love to go shopping, working out to stay in shape, read books, drink star bucks, love to go out dancing and every once in a while, have a drink or two at the bar. Yes, I am still very young at heart and am looking forward to my 30th birthday cause I know, I will still look very nice then. Well, I really hope to reconnect with friends who I use to know.

Military
I joined the army back in 1995, went to Fort Jackson and then to Fort Lee for AIT in Logistics. I PCSed to Fort Bragg in 1995; stayed there for 4 years, where I met my husband, and PCSed to Fort Lewis in 1999. I was with the new STRYKER Brigade ...Expand for more
that was forming at the time. We were at Fort Lewis for about 3 years, then moved to Germany in Hanau. I was with an Engineer Battalion and Jason was with ADA over there. I served a tour in Iraq when OIF kicked off. I then decided that I needed to get out and spend time with Kaitlin instead of Iraq. I have learned a whole bunch from being in the military. I don't regret it and if I could do it all over again, I would.
I know that I was once so young and made alot of mistakes, but those mistakes have made me who I am today. I am a stronger person cause of all those who have said that I am up to no good. For those who have tried to discouraged me, screw you and for those who supported me and pushed me to go all the way, I want to say thank you and I haven't forgotten all that you guys have done for me.

I will always those of you who are still in the military in my prayers because the war is not over yet and there will be many more times you will be deployed again leaving your family behind. Thank you for all that you are still doing for the country. I was once there and know how it feels.
