Anne's Story
Life
I got married in October of 2004 to my boyfriend of then 2.5 years. He's a 1993 grad of Juneau-Douglas High School. We have a 10 year old English bulldog that we rescued from a bad home in 2004. She is spoiled rotten now. He has four kids total. Three boys from a previous marriage and a daughter from a long-term relationship. They all live in Colorado with their respective mothers. We see them every now and then. We've moved three times in the last four years. All in Juneau. My career is going pretty well so I think we're in Juneau to stay. I bought my husband (Rich) a 1987 Harley Davidson Electroglide in 2003. Its a big bike, but lots of fun. We've taken it up to Whitehorse once. I'm thinking about getting my motorcycle endorsement so I can ride my own bike.....but that's down the road.

working for Fish and Game. It's been almost ten years now. I just got promoted in July of 2005 and am applying for another job in July of 2006. I started out as a Fish and Wildlife Technician back in 1996 in Ketchikan. I was down for the summer and needed a job. I Port sampled for three seasons there. When I graduated in 1999 I was already working in the Douglas office as an intern and was offered a full-time position. I am now a Fisheries Biologist II. I run the Northern Southeast Port sampling program and the SE Chinook Encounters program. I've been involved in field work, shellfish population surveys, stock biology, scale pattern analysis and port sampling of salmon, crab, shrimp, sea cucumbers, and black cod. I'm mostly in the office now, writing reports and managing budgets. I still get my extra-tuffs slimey at times.
