Life I was born in Philadelphia to a Navy Corpsman from a New Mexico wheat farm and a local daughter of Ukraine immigrants. By the time I was 15, we had traveled across the USA 11 times and to Hawaii twice. After Philly, we lived in many places, sometimes more than once, like San Diego, Honolulu, Boston, Myrtle Grove,SC; Vista,CA where I started 1st grade at the Academy next to San Luis Rey mission; Bethesda,MD; Philly, Oceanside,CA;Kailua,HI; National City,CA; Lubbock,TX; Orange,TX; Pensacola,FL; Portsmith,VA; Vista, and Atascadero,CA. In Portsmouth I started high school at St. Paul's Hi. Right after Christmas we moved to Vista where I went to Vista Hi for 2 great years while my dad was stationed aboard ship in Japan. After his tour dad retired from a 20 year Navy career. Soon after he obtained a position as the Clinical Laboratory Technician at a brand new state mental hospital in Atascadero.
