Mike's Story
Life
Mike McAleer was born and raised in Iowa. I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in Political Science. I later did graduate work in International Relations at The Catholic University, Washington, DC. I served our country in the Army for 31 years, including two tours in Vietnam. While serving at Baumholder, Germany, I met and married Lynn Willis, a teacher in the DOD School System. By 1971, we had five children. Upon retiring from the Army in 1991, Lynn and I moved to Sequim, WA and I began a real estate practice. Two of the five grown children joined me in the real estate practice.
I serve my community through a number of avenues. I currently serve on the board of the Clallam County Economic Development Council and am a past president. I chair the Building Trades Cluster for Clallam Networks. Also, at the County level, Mike serve...Expand for more

He is an active and involved 23 year member (past president) and Paul Harris Fellow of the Sequim Sunrise Rotary.
He serves on the Sequim Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce Board as Past President. While president he initiated the Business Retention and Expansion program for local businesses. For the City of Sequim, he was the Chair, Sequim WasteWater ReUse TF and served on the Design Standards Task Force.
As a REALTOR for 23 years, he was active in the Realtor Political Action Committee and Government Affairs His peers chose him REALTOR of the Year for four separate years.
In July 2014 Mike retired from his second career. Lynn and Mike have set out in an RV to see their many friends and family in various areas of the United States. Catching up with the goings-on of 13 grandchildren!
