hello everbody!
after graduating sterling, i became a teacher! surprise surprise! i taught 3rd and 4th grades at riverview christian school in ft. morgan, colorado. heather morrison who also graduated sterling, taught there too and we were roommates. we did that for 2 years. it just so happened that God landed us jobs at the same school in wichita, ks in 1998. so we both moved out to wichita and i taught 4th grade for 3 more years at sunrise christian academy--awesome school by the way. in 2000 i met THE most wonderful man in the world and married him. his name is mike hughes. he's so sweet and drop dead gorgeous too! together we have 5 kids. he had 3 when we married; hannah and helen(identical twins) and oliver. when we were married they were very little and now they are teenagers!! they are awesome awesome kids. the girls are now 14 and going to be in high school. they are beautiful girls and a lot of fun. they just made all year cheerleading for their freshman year of high school. they are very excited and ...Expand for more
we are happy for them and also a little worried. =) oliver is going to be 13 this summer and will enter 7th grade in the fall. he is hilarious and very athletic. we really enjoy going to his football, basketball, and baseball games.
in 2002 we had haley. she is 3 1/2yrs. old. she has a head of blonde curly hair and blue eyes. she is a sweatheart. in 2004 we had jack(short for jackson). he is a ball of fun. he is always on the go and into everything.
ever since haley was born, i have been a stay-at-home mom and loving that. i am very thankful that we are able to have me stay home with the little 2 through these years before they start school.
we currently live in derby, ks, but are looking to move to mulvane which is just 5 miles south of derby. we have a church that we have been involved in ever since 1998 and love it! it is our biggest community of friends and support. i am really looking forward to hearing from classmates. hope to see at least some of you in the future.
