Michelle's Story
You know life doesn't always turn out the way that some may expect. You go through High School enjoying each and every moment...but wishing it would all hurry up so we could move on. Now sitting where I am today....I can only think back and remember all the wonderful, funny and unforgetable times at Pearl River High School. It was such an adventure, full of so much excitement. So many songs cross my mind and remind me of the "good ole times there". Like--You're gonna miss this, by Trace Adkins. Everytime it comes on, our great times at high school go racing through my mine....so many memories!! I try to tell my kids all the time to pay attention to the song, because it is all TRUE!! I miss so much. It's so wonderful to sit back and think of all the times that we all shared at PRHS. I think about all the fun times we had while in Ms. Howard and Ms. Prewett's room..those ladies always brought a smile to my face. football games. Boy wasn't life so SWEET and simple then? I miss so many people...it seems as though when we graduated, everyone scattered like mice on a sinking ship.
My son graduated from PRHS in 2004, he is now 23 and received his Bat. in Math at SLU in December 2008 and attending LSU for 2 years to obtain his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. My midde child, Amanda is 19 and graduated from PRHS May 2005. My youngest, Katie, is 15, and attends PRHS as a Freshman. I'm a stay at home mom, which I feel is a very important job. I've enjoyed being home with my kids, and being involved with their lives. I hate they are growing up so fast. My marriage ended, as friends, 2008 after 24 wonderful years. Great memories...but just grew apart....decided to remain friends and move on from here. Live each day with no regrets. Never put off tomorrow what you can do today, there may not be a tomorrow.
