Corey's Story
I can say without a doubt that my greatest accomplishment since High School is the life I am living NOW!!! I have three of the best daughters in the world...Serena-15, Emma-3, and Samantha-7months. I also have the best step-daughter a woman could ask for, Jordan-13. I was married 6 months out of school and had my first daughter...divorced 2 years later. Then spent the next ten years a single mother just working and sowing my very wild oats (when my daughter was with her dad of course). Now the only oats I have to sow are the ones on our farm! But I have 13 tattoos to remind me of the "wild" ones I have cultivated.
My husband, a truck driver, and I have a small farm with beef cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, a few rabbits, barn cats, and a Tubby...our German Shepard. I work as a Mentor in a steel mfg. company. I teach new employees how to set-up...Expand for more
and program dies in punch press machines. I have been in this field for about 11 years and love it. I havent been a mentor all those years, I was pushing around a tool box and getting grease, oil and dirt under my nails. Well, I still do that.....but with a better Title.
Having a daughter in High School reminds me of when we were all that age. I keep telling her that out in the real world it is alot like what she is going through now, only she will be a little more mature in handling all the drama and ups and downs. I laugh when she comes home from school talking about her most recent "crush" or who back-stabbed who....oh how I miss it!!Ha!! I'm happy just being the "cool" mom that all her friends like and trust. well, I hope to hear from someone that can remember me.....by the way---I SOOOOO should have won "biggest hair" at the Senior Banquet!!
