Chris's Story

Life Hey Everyone! Here's the Readers Digest version of my life since High School (I can't believe it's coming up on 20 years). I went to college at CBC for 2 years then went on to the University of Idaho where I spend 4 happy years hanging out in the Music Department and playing my Trombone. I graduated in 1994 with a degree in Music Education. I moved back to the Tri-Cities and started substitute teaching for a couple of years. This is when I discovered I really didn't care for teaching so much, bummer. So I got a job with my friend Aaron Brumbaugh at the WSU Tri-Cities branch campus working in their videoconferencing and Media Services department. I spent about 5 years there and then an old flame from High School got back in touch with me, Dawn Newton. She had just finished college in NY and had moved to Vancouver, WA with her parents. videoconferencing department and have been there ever since. We just moved into our very first house in 2006 and are really enjoying being home owners. I still play my trombone some, although not as much as I'd like. I found a fun community Jazz band called the Second Wind Jazz Ensemble. It's fun, and we've recorded a few of our performances. Nothing professional, but it's good fun and good people. Our most recent news is the birth of our son Tyler Benjamin Rhoads on December 29, 2007. He's growing like a weed and is so much fun. He's a constant wonder and it's really amazing to see the world fresh through his eyes. Well that's about it.
