Jeffrey's Story

Cancer Survivor (malignant Melanoma). Husband, father, brother, cyclist, sailor Parrothead Reached that age where meaningful relationships/experiences are more desirable than stuff. BIO: Hanover High to Gettysburg College to Shultz Chevrolet to Searle Phamaceuticals (moved to Severna Park) which merged with Pharmacia which was bought by Pfizer when I went to the startup company Theralogix which is the best thing yet. During all that I was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of '79 (told I wouldn't see Christmas that year...glad the docs missed that call). Met Tracey in 9/79, we married in 10/83, Peter was born in '87, Philip was born in '89 and we moved to MD in 9/90. Both parents died within 54 weeks (Mom '01, Dad '02). Peter has graduated with a degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati '10, Philip continues at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. d tennis (sr yr hi school, college), racing (sailboats) on my Hobie 16 on the West River, MD ('90-91) and with great friends on Where Egos Dare, a 33 footer in Annapolis ('92-'03), asst. coaching LAX in the Green Hornets in SP for 6 yrs with several great guys (kids and their dads), and road cycling. The latter I took up while Tracey was in U. MD Nursing School in '96. I've logged many miles and met so many great riders, especially those in the Severna Park Peloton (a club I was an early member of that has grown remarkably). Tracey got a new road bike and has been riding with me for the last two years and I love it! Along with the above I try to stay active in my church in various capacities including this being my 20th year teaching Sr Hi Sunday Church School (9th-12th Grades) and singing in the Men's Choir (as I enjoyed being in the Gettysburg College Chapel Choir, many St. Matthew Lutheran choirs beginning with Boys Choir (yeah, like Vienna Boys). Greatest joy - our sons.
