David's Story
"My Story" is not exactly riveting - at least, not the parts I'm going to write about here... (I'm also in Facebook)
I have lived in Rhode Island my entire life, but have traveled quite a bit domestically and internationally. For several years, I was on the road between 60-80% of the time in places like 26 US States along with London, Paris, Czech Republic, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Brussels. Sometimes for months at a time.
It's amazing what you can learn by traveling. I never wanted to travel, but looking back, I wouldn't give up those experiences. Getting out really does contribute to understanding of self.
My schools were: Doric Day Nursery School, Gladstone St. School, Bain Jr. High, Cranston East High School, and the University of Rhode Island. where I double-majored in English and Electronic Computer Engineering and graduated with a B.S. in the latter. Post-grad, I went to Northeastern for a very brief certificate program in Technical Writing/Communications.

d the one in the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers before getting a job at GTECH shortly after graduating. I'm still at GTECH today, and find it to be a fascinating and diverse place to work.
I currently live with my mom. My father passed away on October 5, 2009. My parents were together for 60 years, and we were all very close, so his passing has been very difficult.
Favorite things include Sci Fi (Star Trek, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica), non-mainstream movies (My Own Private Idaho, Beautiful Thing, Brazil, Delicatessen, Rocky Horror - you get the picture), and music of the 80's like Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, New Order, Depeche Mode - stuff like that.
I don't enjoy the countryside, but love city life and feel much more at home in a high-tech or urban environment than in a rural one.
Politically, I'm solidly a democrat. Religiously, I'm a Unitarian-Universalist. I believe in a non-dogmatic, practical, highly-progressive/liberal and ever-evolving view toward spirituality.
And I'm sure all that information exceeds just about everyone's interest, so, if you're still reading, cheers!
