Cynthia's Story
Class of 85,Wow that is a long time. What have I been up to since graduating, I have three beautiful children. Jackee who is 24yrs, Eric 23yrs, & Carl 19yrs. I attended Wilfred Academy Beauty School right after graduating H.S, I am a liscened cosmotologist. I worked as a hairstylist until I became sick and couldn'd return back to the shop so I had to choose a new career to be able to take care of my children, so I attended Malcolm X College and completed my two years their and decided to move to Kansas City Mo. This is my home now and I must say that I made a very good choice being a single mother rearing three babies. (we raise animals, we rear children) I am so Blessed, I was able to land a wonderful job at Gateway 2000 Co. I worked there for 6 years until I became disabled. I going to do now, but I have a beautiful and supported church and even though their were times I did'nt feel like I was going to make it ,God was always their for me and my babies. So now I support any young mother that needs a sitter for their children if they are trying to do something positive with their lives, I also am a nannymaw (grandma) 3 times and I try to spend all the time with them that I can. I am learning to live the way that GOD wants me to live, so most of my time I am reading, fellowshiping,studying & PRAYING. I am looking forwards to attending a reunion one day, I come home to Chicago as much as I can. I promised my grandbabies that I was going to bring them to see Chicago soon and then I can show them the schools that I attended.
