Carey's Story
After graduating CSHS, and moving to California to be a stuntman, I quickly learned I had nothing in common with Los Angeles or her inhabitants. I joined the military to earn money for college, and have some fun in the process. I got out in 1991 after returning from the gulf, and enrolled in UGA. I graduated from Georgia in 1996, and moved to Alaska with my wife Meredith. We have two children Hannah (11), and Dalton (7), at the time of this post. They were both born in Alaska, however we have since moved to Lafayette, LA, Houston, TX, and now Tulsa. Tulsa has been home for the past three years. om still lives in Forest Heights, and is the house mother for the Alpha Delta Pi sorority on milledge. I stay in touch with Demetrius (Dimp) on a semi-regular basis. I have been blessed throughout my life with opportunities, but taking my own stubborn (less traveled) path, has somehow given me solace that there should be sweeter tasting fruit along the way. So far, the peaches are always out of season, and someone on the trail ahead of me just cheezed one off. I'd better not ever meet up with that rotten Tech graduate! I'm enjoying shooting Sporting Clays competitively, and I have to admit it: I still have a Corvair (turbo-charged this time). Old habits die hard...
