Judy's Story

Hi. I live in the north Georgia mountains with my 2nd husband, Bill. I was married for 28 years to Sam Smith, who left his senior year to move to Monroe, and play for Neville. Well, he joined the Air Force, we got married, had 3 children. We lived in Monroe for about 25 years or so. Everything fell apart. I moved to Atlanta, Ga, and met Bill about 8 years later. He is a wonderful man. Anyway, he has one daughter, Gabriella Leo and I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Jeff Smith, oldest, lives in Charlotte, NC with wife Jennifer & 3 children, Hamilton (14), Chandler(12) & MacKenzie (9). My only daughter, Christina is married to Brian Greer, and lives in Sugar Hill, Ga with their 2 sons, Hunter(9) and Parker (3). My youngest son David Smith and his wife, Malynn, live in Monroe, since about April 07. but lived in the Atlanta area for about 8 years prior to moving back to La. Malynn works in Bastrop at the work out facility on Hwy 165. Her uncle owns it. I forgot the name of it. They have 2 dogs and are hoping to get pregnant soon. I have worked in sales, in various types over the last 25 years, but the last 11 years I've sold industrial chemicals to a customer base that I established ove...Expand for more
r the phone. However, recently I have established an corporation for buying and selling properties for investment purposes. And I am currently a real estate investor, looking for properties all over the United States. So I am on the computer a great portion of the time. My mom, Iris Smith and one of my 3 sisters, Sharon Guice, still live in Bastrop. My youngest sister, Deborah Grant lives in Baton Rouge, Mary Catherine lives in Stephens, Ar, and my brother lives in Carthage Texas. I wish I could have attended the 40 yr class reunion to see everyone, but I was just not able to get away. I hope all of you are doing well, and maybe we will meet again someday. Bill and I love living in the mountains, and have deer and turkey coming up in the back yard almost every day, not the turkey though. They come up periodically. Of course I throw out corn for them all the time. It's great to sit out on the back deck and drink coffee in the mornings, when he's home and watch the wildlife. We're still working hard preparing for the future, so life is very busy. All the kids are doing good, and of course the grandkids are the greatest joy of life. Best wishes to all of you. Sincerely, Judy (Gray) Leo
