Donna's Story

I've been married for 35 years to the same man, and we've been living in his home state of Maine for the last 21 years. We get back to Racine once in a while. We each have two adult children, three adult foster sons we're still very close to, and seven grandchildren between us. At the time my husband retired, he and I were both working for the Racine County Sheriff's Dept. I have worked as a dispatcher, jailer, prison guard, and victim advocate in a district attorney's office. I've been living my girlhood dream of having horses since we moved to Maine. I both ride and drive my horses. I am now self employed. The one person ...Expand for more
from my past who I'd most like to see again is LaDonna Dresen, because she was my most loyal and steadfast friend through junior high and high school. My biggest regret in life is that we didn't have high school sports for girls. I think I could have been pretty good in several sports with coaching. It would also have given me a whole new niche in high school. After high school, I very successfully played basketball, volleyball, softball, and soccer. I have trophies in all plus bowling and dog obedience. In 10 years, I hope to be back in Racine County. I'm going to get there by hopefully keeping my house in Maine to summer in.

I saw this moth in Belfast a couple weeks ago. The black things on her back appear to be eggs. Anyone know what she is?
What happens when you have two turkey hens both laying eggs in the same nest?
Jimmy will be competing at the mule and donkey show tomorrow at the Common Ground Fair in Unity from 10am to 1pm. Please come and meet him - he loves people.
This is Jimmy's "twin", Ella. They won best donkey pair at the Clinton Fair even though they had never seen each other before. They look so much alike we actually wonder if they're related. She is older than he is. Hope
I asked Charlie to take a picture of Jimmy and Ella together so that we could see how much they resemble each other - this is what he took; the a-- view of two a--es. What a photographer! Not! We'll try to get a better p
We visited briefly last weekend with old friends, our twin Holstein steers, Atlas and Attilla. They live at a farm not too farm from ice. The lighting was beautiful at the time of the pictures.
Charlie will be having knee replacement surgery on Tuesday at Inland Hospital in Waterville. He will be there until at least Friday or Saturday. Please feel free to visit. Otherwise he will either have to talk (a lot) to
This is the most recent picture of our baby Royal Palm turkey. He? is still living in our upstairs bathroom with one of the hens. He is very vigorous, but he is blind in the eye showing in the picture.
I am very sad to say that the second of our three dogs died last night. Snoopy was only ten and died very quickly at home. Bonnie misses her playmate.
I don't have great pictures of Lambeau, but here's a couple. Tell me he doesn't look like a little Rotti! But he has a couple black ink spots on his tongue and black individual stripes on the tops of his toes. Ring a bel
Head shot - he has a white ringe bib
This is my great-nephew, Drew Krogh. He was born December 25 of 2010 weighing 1 lb. 4 oz. This is him on December 18, 2011.
This is my horse, Arrow, and his best friend at his boarding barn
I am very sad today. Overnight I lost all my poultry, four hens, one rooster, and my special Royal Palm tom turkey, Mortimer. Somehow the door came open on their house. The only sign of them is a big pile of Mortimer's w

At the Clinton Fair, I received a blue ribbon on this scrapbook page looking out an imaginary window at my mule. I also received a blue on my full scrapbook of Charlie's most recent Marine Corps platoon reunion in Californ
Just ordered a 14' palmetto tree to be planted in the front yard of our home in South Carolina.
