Gilbert's Story
Gilbert's schools include Telford elementary and Souderton High School. He later attended Elizabethtown College. He earned a PhD in physics at the University of Connecticut. He worked at Lockheed-Martin in Orlando, Florida for 20 years after a long career in a number of industries and some college and university teaching. He retired in 2007. ir and renovation. He just completed designing and building a front porch, complete with three steps, railing all around and a pergola. When he first married in 1959 he designed and built a 14-room frame home in Connecticut, doing all the trades: carpentry, electrical, plumbing , heating and masonry, himself. His wife is also an avid tennis player, and they both bike, hike and mountain climb. He has visited 24 countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, Russia, Africa and most of the European countries.
