Carol's Story
09/09/10 I'm living in the country about 2 1/2 miles north of the Hallam power plant. I work in Crete part-time as a cashier for Wal-Mart (just Sun., Tues., Wed.). Before that I worked in Lincoln at the Home Design Center on West O as a secretary and before that was at the Crete News for about 14 years in the office and as bookkeeper. I have a daughter and 3 sons and 10 grandchildren. My youngest son, Casey, graduated from Crete High in 2010 and will someday increase the number of grandchildren, I suppose. guineas, peafowl, and pheasants on the place. I'm only responsible for the miniature Schnauzer that thinks every tire on the place needs to be marked! I was kinda in the dog house for bringing home a puppy but he has been a good addition. I figured there needed to be something else here for the guys to pick on. This year, 2012, I got a German Shepherd puppy to protect the little dog when he's outside. Skipper survived a coyote attack. Joined Classmates to try and connect back to those I remember from Fairbury but would enjoy hearing from anyone that replys.
