One of William's favorite quotes is:"Ask not what your country can do for but ask what you can do for your country, Those who are not first are last, If you can read this you are losing, The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.". More about William:"I'm 18, Intelligent, spontaneous, and inquisitive. I love a challenge and I'm very athletic. I'm also quite forward, but with a heart- I'm not going to call you out in front of everyone unless you ask for it. Allot of people ask me about my mother and my father and why I was in a group home and why I have a social worker. Let the story begin. ********NOTICE THIS PORTION OF MY Bio IS NOT FINISHED! ****** PLEASE RESPECT MY PRIVACY AND DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER AS A SPECTATOR WOULD NOT VIEW A PAINTING BEFORE THE ART IS FINISHED! THANK YOU, GOD BLESS! Part I I deeply loved my mother and still do. I think she is helping me in some paranormal way in this matter because even when I'm by myself I'm not alone and its somehow comforting. Neither words nor emotions can express my gratitude twards everyone who has comforted me in my time of pain. I can only hope I am such an aid in your time of need even if your screaming at me- I'm a release - and that's what friends are for. I didn't get to see her very much past my 5th birthday because none could be found of her until 02 (I'm 19 so u do the math), but even then it was every other weekend visits and even that wasn't assured. When I used to visit her she would tell me stories about when I lived in a trailer park with her and beat up and stomp on other kids all the time and I couldn't help but be compelled to listen intently to her like a little kid listens to an idle with the utmost attention to every scrap and detail. In September of '05 my mother was murdered in her own home. The next couple of years were not easy (not to say that the present is). I was depressed for a straight week afterwards - didnt eat ,drink, move. Depression had set in. Eventually, (half a year later) I got back into my groove and became what most would consider normal. I had some suspicion for the culprit of my mothers death and in '07 my fears were confirmed. My father, Thomas Douglas Groves was at my grandmas (his mothers) and an argument of some sort arose and my father left. Realizing that my father was headed for trouble, but not specifically knowing where, my grandfather (my stepmom's father) called the police and they found my father at the location where they had confiscated an abandond stolen motorcycle. My father was trying to get the bike so he cou...Expand for more
ld cover his tracks, but he was unsuccessful. My father was immidiatly brought up on 1st degree murder charges. The entire side of my fathers family (excluding me) believed/believe he was/is innocent. (including my step mother...whom I lived with at the time) Late '07 - judgement day for my father - the court date. My father took a plea bargain that stated that the prosecuter had enough evidence to convict my father but he wasn't admitting to a thing so after just 45-60 mins in the court room the judge sentenced him. My father was sentenced to 45 years in prison after the judge dismissed 35 years of his sentence. My father now serves his time upstate. Three square meals every day and all the time for repentance that you could ask for. My stepmother still believes he's innocent, but I say if I was accused of murder and I didn't do it - I would fight it till death. I say my father not only abandoned me, but his entire family including his other two children as well. To boot my father left five other children without a mother (including myself ) and two of them gun shy. They are abnormally scared by thunder and other things that make large sudden noises, because of their presence in the house during my mothers murder. They heard the gunshot and now they're permanently scarred. My little brother cowars in a corner during a lightning and thunder storm because it sounds very familiar to what the gunshot fired in the house sounded like. At first, I can't help to despise my father for either abandonment and/or murder, but being the Christian that I am I have personally forgiven him, but he doesn't know that. By personally, I mean I have become at peace with it myself. I have not personally forgiven him face to face, but I will, with time. Part II When I went to Liberty High School I was always (and at times still am) asked what happened to me during my juior year and why I dissappeared. Some say I stabbed someone, threatened a teacher or brought a butcher knife to school, but none of these are true. I had a pocket knife at school and showed it to someone who asked to see it and a teacher saw it. Nothing else. In punishment, I recieved three days of Bridge, but those two days of bridge were the Wed, Thurs, and Fri after the Mon and Tues that we had off for a break, so no one saw me that week. Over the weekend I got upset at some family and got into some trouble and my parents had me arressted. I spent one night in Lynchburg Detention Center and went into Bedford Co. Depatment of Social Services- DSS the next day. They put me in a foster home in Staunton River and that's where I finished my junior year. During the summer I moved into Bedford County Group Homes and came back to Liberty High for my senior year. Part III I know live on East Campus dorm 300-14 fourth floor at Liberty University. I go there because of my association with the Group Home. They gave me a scholarship if I was willing to not waste it. I don't. My major (currently) is Business Finance. I am a freshman and I love everything about Liberty. There's the story. Any questions text 540-875-9948".
