More about Rick:"I am a financial planner and stockbroker in Pocatello, Idaho which is a bit of a liberal haven in a state that is otherwise one of the last bastians of conservatism. Having been raised of goodly parents on a potato farm, I had inculcated into me principles of thrift, hard work, and traditional Christian values. My grandfather, J. Berkley Larsen, who served as Lt. Governor, and my father, Allan F. Larsen, who served nearly 30 years in the Idaho Legislature including four years as Speaker of the House and was a gubernatorial candidate, instilled in me a love of America and an appreciation of conservative political principles. I also served a two year mission for my church in South Korea from '76-'78. I write a weekly column for the Idaho State Journal, addressing political and cultural issues from a classical-liberal perspective.
I have been married for 32 years to the beautiful and inimitable Terry Lee Hunt, of Pocatello. We have four children. Jacob, his wife Tess and our gorgeous granddaughters Addisyn and Brielle, and our new grandson Pierce live in Mansfield, TX where Jake is working as a financial analyst with Lockheed, after completing his MBA at the prestigious Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. Amanda and her husband Ryan, and our third granddaughter, Claire, and second grandson Max, live in Twin Falls, ID. Ryan teaches math and coaches football and basketball at Twin Falls High School and Amanda works for the high school as assistant athletic director. Aubrey is working at an accounting firm in Pocatello. Jonathan just left Wells Fargo Bank in Boise and joined the Army while his wife Amber has returned to Pocatello, preparing to rejoin Jonathan after he completes his basic training.".
