Ann's Story
Life hasn't gone anything like I thought it would. Sure, I married .. Wayland Vancleeve .. which later turned out to be a wrong move. It did bring me to Dallas, tho, where I still live. After becoming single (no kids), I continued in banking for 30 years. During that time, trips to NYC, Central America, and sailing in the Virgins were eye-opening adventures for this gal from the Hub City. It was thru banking that I finally met the love of my life, and the best part of my life began. Blake Miles and I were together for 12 years during which he showed me how to "...Expand for more
get drunk" on lovin' life .. kayaking, motorcycling, back country camping, and throwing parties on 15 minutes notice .. It was a playful, laugh-filled, gracious and loving time. Blake's two sons grew up with us during that time, and I'm so proud of these guys. Thanks to them, I'm even Granny Annie now. The Amazing Blake passed away suddenly in 2012. Even though he and I never married, his whole family and I are still in constant contact. By now, I'm retired, living near SMU with my Boston terrier, and looking for more adventures.
It's a wonderful life, y'all.
