Hmmmm.. Who am I? Well, I'm not much different than I was when I was younger. I am more confident and more outgoing. I talk just as much and I think I may smile more and rarely snort anymore when I laugh. I still stand up for the underdog, the oppressed and the abused. I find politics both fascinating and frustrating. My favorite period in history is our Colonial and Civil War periods. I believe I have become wiser over the years and have remained as independent as ever. That is as independent as you can be with 3 children. I love my children, my friends, my home, my critters and on most days I love the world. My kids are the center of my world. They are a joy even at their worst. As a single mom for 15 years, it has been a challenge. But we are all doing well. Due to the economic slide I am now working in retail rather than my previous administrative job. But I'm working and I do love customer service, so no complaints. Many are struggling far more than I have even come close to. The kids keep me running with all of their social, academic and athletic endeavors. I'm still trying to decide if they make me old or keep me young. I think they age my body and keep my mind young :-) I can accept that consequence.
