A.Mary's Story
After a non illustrious high school career, I moved to the city for college and a banking career. A number of years later, with too many jobs, decided to join the USAF.
It was a great journey through many different places and countries. Finally arrived back in the Pentagon where I finished my BS in Computer Science at University of Maryland. Married a fellow military guy which after 13 years ended.
With degree in hand, commissioned as a Space Operations Officer and transferred to Omaha satellite operations. There received graduate degree in Computer Science Management.
Remarried a fellow AF officer, we are both now retired and still married. Went back to school to finish BS in accounting, passed the CPA, and finished a graduate degree in Federal Tax Law.

of volunteer work, and non profit boards. Very active with pet therapy dogs, train and evaluate teams for visiting. Currently busy with meals on wheels, and helping the elderly. Recently became certified as a Guardian Ad Litem, represent the children's interests in court. The kids have been through so much, working with babies and young children. You cannot imagine the horrors of both parents and relatives. We try to break the cycle of abuse, drug addiction, and loss of futures. Very rewarding!
Last year went to Burundi, Africa with a team of teachers to start an English school for the children. A side trip to Rwanda's gorillas made the long, two day flight almost bearable. Part of the Friendship Force group sponsored by the UN.
