Aaron's Story
After I graduated high school, I went to CSUB while still living with my parents. I majored in Business Administration and graduate from college. In between the junior and senior years of college I left town to live in Seattle (actually Des Moines a suburb of Seattle), for a summer. My plan was to work there and sow some wild oates as they say. Little did I know my life would change forever. One evening I was reading a book by the fire I had built and was thinking to myself, "God if you're real you'll make the fire go off and come back on..." I couldn't believe it when that's exactly what happened. I had not spoken that thought to anyone I had only thought it. I was in awe and fell to my knees right there. From that point on I couldn't deny there is a God and He is real! It took me a while to reconcile my faith to my life, honestly I'm still doing that every day,...Expand for more
but I now know that God Loves me and has a wonderful plan for my life. I spend my days devoted to knowing Him more and serving Him more whereever He puts me.
After I graduated collge I had a series of jobs in the field of serving people with developmental disabilities. Eventually I got what I considered to be a good job at a copmany training people with disabilities in various vocational skills. It is at this job I met a young gal who was training me to do the job I was hired to do. Raquel was born in the Phillipines and moved here when she was in High School. She is a beautiful woman, I'm fortunate she said "yes" when I asked to marry her. I was really a dumber guy then than I am now (I think...). We were married in 1997 and had our first child a girl in 2005, Sarah Abigail. The name means princess and father's joy. It fits.
