Elizabeth's Story
Life
When I first moved to Alaska I thought it was going to be the end of my life. Freezing cold and isolated - I couldn't imagine anyplace worse. I could not have been more wrong! Even though I was only at Bartlett for the last 4 months of my junior year and my senior year, I feel as though they were the best times of my high school life.
Since leaving Alaska, the morning after graduation, a lot of wonderful things have happened to me. In 1978 I married Michael, an Air Force Academy grad (we've been married for over 22 years). We have two extraordinary children. Our son, Sean, is 19 and a sophomore at the University of Missouri in Rolla, MO and majoring in civil engineering. Elissa is 17 and will be graduating, magna cum laude, from high school this spring. This fall she will be starting at Purdue University in their school of mathematics. My children have been a source of pure joy and pride.

children, one of my favorite pastimes is to watch them play soccer. Sean is on a soccer scholarship at UMR and Elissa is about to begin her 4th year as a varsity starter for her high school. They both started playing when they were 4 years old, and have played select/club soccer since they were 6 for Sean and 10 for Elissa. My husband and I have averaged over 100 games a year for the past 15 years - that's a lot of soccer. I really believe I'm the definition of a "soccer mom.
I work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car's corporate office as a software implementation project manager and my husband is an operations research engineer for Anheuser Busch (he got out of the Air Force after 14 years). We've got rental cars and beer covered.
If any of you are ever in the St. Louis area (Fairview Heights is just across the Mississippi River from the Gateway Arch), please look me up. I always have a cold beer waiting for friends.
