Valerie's Story
After I graduated I went to Rexburge Idaho and attendd Ricks College now BYU Idaho, My family returned to Idaho while I was attending school and puechased a dairy farm. We onlyn liived in kent for 7 years before that we were from Idaho and had mostly lived on dairy farms. I married in 1973 moved to Pennsyvania in 75 had two sons and divorced. went back to Idaho met my second Husband Gene Crosby whom we have been together since June of 1978. My brother Andy, who also attended kentridge died in 1975 , he was serving in the US Marine Corps. at he time. My sister Lenda and Brothe John both reside in the Seattle area. I perfered the country. I have held several different types of Jobs, I was a certified Welder mech. For the DOT of Washington in Seattle. g pre K (upgrading my degrees from Ricks) And drove Semi as an Owner Operator with my Husband untill several years ago when my Lupus has since prevented me from working We own a few acres in Hermiston Oregon and have what is called a mini farm where we raise our own meat ( beef and Lamb) raise our own chickens we have a 50x50 ft family garden that is worked by both sons and their families and a 12 tree orchard. our goal is to be as self suffecant as possable. WE have 6 granddaughters 1 step granddaughter and I grandson.. We share our home with my mother. I feel that I have lived a very good life and have been privilages to have been in all the lower 48 states and I am blessed with a good husband and fine sons whom work hard and support their families. We share many a happy times and even some not so happy times as a family, and thats the most important thing to me.
