Adolf's Story
After graduation from high school, I attended Long Beach Community College and then went on to pursue my degree in Architecture from USC. I graduated in 1978 and worked for a number of firms in Southern California doing a lot of international work in the middle east and Indonesia. I also spent 17 months in Germany in 1985-86 working with the US Military (loved this job as it took me to a different country each month). Upon my return from Germany, having a "Secret" clearance from the Department of Defense, I was heavily involved in Security Architecture for the Bureau of Engraving & Printing (all the paper money and postage stamps are printed here), and U.S. Embassies in South-east Asia and Central America....Expand for more
In 1988, I decided that traveling 150 days a year was too much and I decided to start my own company. I have now been in business for 21 years specializing in the design of Medical Centers, Surgery Centers, Imaging Centers, etc. Most of the time I love what I do. In October 2009, we had the grand opening for 5-Story, $48M medical center we designed in Whittier, CA. I still travel but not nearly as much. I was married in 1990 and now have one child, Nick who was born in 1993. He is our pride and joy, a great student, tall and handsome, drives a BMW and wants to become a doctor. My wife, Sandy, Nick and I live in the "Wine Country" region of Temecula in a 4,800 SF house on 2 1/2 acre surrounded by wineries.
