Adrienne's Story
After High School I attended SUC at Cortland but transfered to Hofstra in 1962 and graduated in 1964. I began my teaching career in Lindenhurst.I was fortunate to meet my soulmate in 1964 and was married in 1965. I left teaching in 1967 on maternity leave.My son was born in 1967 and my daughter in 1970. While raising my children I was active in the PTA and other organizations. hing in 1982 in Port Jefferson Sta. Since jobs were scarce, I subbed, was a teacher Asst. and taught computers and the gifted. I returned to teaching my own class in 1993 and retired in 2004. My husband and I divide our time between Florida and New York. I still sub in the district and school I retired from when I'm not traveling, in Florida, or spending time with my three wonderful grandsons.
