Adrienne's Story
Life
I was a legal secretary for years after high school graduation, but living in a big city was not where I wanted to be. When my family and I started looking at different colleges, we fell in love with Charleston because it is rural, but it is not so small that we have no post office. The population in Charleston is over 20,000 (not including the University) and Mattoon, which is right next door, is about 20,000 also, so between the 2 towns, it is really growing and developing.
Central Illinois is where my husband and I decided we would like to live and retire. rise!
I now live in Charleston, IL. I am married, have a daughter (21 - Gina) who will graduate from Eastern in 2001 (English major) who is planning on going into Ministry. I am an Office Manager for the Graduate School, Division of International Programs, at EIU. We decided that if my husband could get a job down in this area, that we would relocate. God blessed him with a wonderful job as a Facilities Manager for TQW, a division of Agracel.
Small town living is the best thing we ever did. I hope that each and every one of you will be able to find the happiness that we have down here. God is so good! God bless you all!
It would sure be nice to hear from any one from the Class of 1968. Please e-mail me if you get a chance and let's try to catch up on old times.
