Life I am a proud graduate of the University of Florida (GO GATORS!!!!!) Hey... it took the Univ. of FL over 100 years to be this good in athletics, so cut me some slack on being an obnoxious Gator fan.... I am NOT a fair weather fan, and the proof is that I am a lifelong obnoxious BOSOX fan!!!! My bank was recently acquired (Mar 2007), however, I was offered and accepted an awesome position with the new bank (National City), where I can help developers/developments build new or rehab existing homes into affordable homes (that means homes for teachers/police/firefighters, etc). I am very excited about my new challenges and the impact I hope to be able to make with families in realizing the American Dream! I am the extremely proud of my 4 awesome kids, and my recently deceased step-son Ken, Jr., and Grandmother to Chloe (Ken Jr's daughter)... we are crushingly sad at his unexpected and untimely death... I am married to a Florida State Senator, Ken Pruitt. He is currently the Florida Senate President. He is amazing in truly being able to work with both sides of the aisle and use the unique talents of all members in the Senate. (And no, he's NOT running again for anything, so that was NOT a commercial)! My oldest (Steven, 20) is an "inactive ready reserve marine." He decided on 9/11 that he wanted to serve his country and he has never waivered. He earned an NROTC scholarship, Marine Corps option, for a full 4 year scholarship to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, so that he can realize his goal of becoming a pilot in the Marines.... and for those inquiring minds, yes, it scares the tar out of me..... My daughter Ashley (18) is a Senior. Michelle (16) is a Junior. Both girls are dually enrolled in high school and the local community college, where they are getting both high school and college credit.
