Aimee's Story

Life Life Biography, huh...Well, it started out when I was a little girl...lol...NO, seriously, I'll just give a quick summary. After graduating from Central Hower in 1986, I met and married a dead beat dad who graduated the same year and school that I did. Although, I didn't meet him until after school was out. His name is Rob Thomas. We had two children together. Kyle was born Aug. of 1987 and Krista who was born in Aug. of 1989. By Feb. of 1991 we were divorced. I stayed on welfare, and got an apartment in Canton, Ohio. Where I lived with my children for 11 yrs. During this time, I dated frequently. And yes, girls with big booties can still get some. Anyway, I dated interracially at times, got into a couple bad relationships, and never married until Aug of 2001. His name was Michael and he had lived in Cleveland. And yes, he was black. I know, you all that knew me are thinking, that wasn't even the Aimee I knew. But Central Hower taught me how to have no prejudices. And I'm thankful for that. During the time that I was divorced the first time and the time I got married again, I took my ass to college. It took me four years, but recieved an Associates in both Respiratory Therapy and Human and Social Services. I worked making good money in Respiratory after that, but then I herniated a disc in my back. Had two surgeries, and my job wouldn't take the risk of having me back. So, they transfered me to a desk job in secretarial for about $6.00 less an hour. Boy that was a cut. After that I got my butt evicted and my car was repoed. It was ugly. And wouldn't you know, no child support or help from any man. So, then I met Michael. A week before we were to marry, I found ou...Expand for more
t that I had Hepatitis C. What an ugly disease. I figure I probably got it from a needle stick when I was doing respiratory Care. Anyhow, then I went on Chemo therapy to try and rid me from the virus. One year of it. Lost alot of my hair, I've been off now for about 6 months and there is not a bit of virus left in my system. Life definitely has it's up's and down's. I'm still cranking though...Even though my husband died in April of 2003. So now i'm a widow. I moved to Ravenna, and am just trying to make the best of my situation. I've hung in there this long, I'll hang in some more. My kids love me and I am still working. And I'm still trying. Don't take pitty, just keep in touch. Sincerely Aimee, Dietrick,Thomas, Grogan.... Ok, it's been a little while since I updated...so here it goes. I made the big move. The move that only people talk about. If you know me, then you know I was a family woman. Did everything with family. Well, they have been gettin on my last nerve with this prejudice crap. Everyone thinks they live in lilly white land. So, I moved to Raleigh, NC. It's so beautiful here. Tree's everywhere and doesn't seem like a big city at all. Everything here is so diverse. Just love it. My daughter moved down here with me. And my son stayed in Ohio. I miss him and my grandson terribly. Ok, to all the people I have hooked up with from Classmates. Why can't ya all stay in touch. I'm gonna do my best to make the reunion next year. Hope I see everyone. If anyone knows how to get ahold of David Dorsey...please let me know...y'all knew we were best friends. And Debbie McIntosh, and Diane Wehry?.....would like to talk to ya'll....Take care everyone....Aimee
