Aimee's Story
After graduating, I, like many others, went off to university. During my years at MSU, I spent a year in Germany. After receiving my bachelor's degree, I earned my teaching certificate. Luckily, I was hired to teach junior high English and German right after having that certificate in my hand. I was at the junior high for eight years when I also earned my master's degree, then I took a position at a high school in the same district where I taught English and German one year then only ...Expand for more
German for three. Thankfully the junior high I had been at wanted me back, so I have been back there for the past year and hope to continue on there until I retire.
Aside from teaching, I also read. It helps, really, with the English teaching.
Another thing I spend time doing is running. In March 2007 I picked it up just to be outside and then decided to run the Detroit Half Marathon that October. It was great! I ran all through the winter and will run that marathon again this year.
