Aimee's Story

I hope my old friends remember me with a happy heart. My favorite way to relax is to come home from work, walk the dogs and then work out myself. Sometimes I do have to just sit and veg out! The wildest thing I ever did in school was to stay out all night long with some friends, we all said we were at someone else's house. For some reason I felt it necessary to go to school the next day. Bad call, big trouble. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a goal, priorities, and a cup of coffee to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My heros are actually my parents. They told me I could be or do anything I wanted to. I also learned it's best to do the right thing. I've lived in Birmingham (post college). Williamsburg, Va. - my parents moved there. Richmond, Va. - sometimes there needs to be a little space to grow up independantly! I never had a picture of what my life would be like "when I grew up". Somehow though I thought I'd have a typical family, husband, kids, pets. It's all good - just no kids. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen and add on a second story. My dream home would be built by Frank Lloyd Wright. Teachers? Hmm, I'll get back to you. If I won $100 million, I'd give lotssss of it to charity, then spend the rest on my family, my family-in-laws and...Expand for more
friends. I only lived in a dorm at Montevallo and it was actually great fun. Same place I joined a 'fraternity' which was incredible. My current age is 44. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be ancient. I was so completely out of touch with reality. First Crush - got married to another classmate. My best friend would tell you I'm to the point, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as very quiet. I won some state racquetball tourneys and actually won a National title. Now for the real story - it was B level. My do-over: Go back home to a friend's father's funeral. My oldest friend....we met in the third grade. Not sure exactly what clicked...sense of humors? Interests? We went our own way at times in school but, I will always consider her my oldest best friend. Always. What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? I'll let them surprise me! My first job was at Hardees, where I got paid very little to burn my fingers stuffing biscuits.. What I remember most about it is fun with the grill masters! Remember from my childhood: 6th grade talent show when I forgot the record we were supposed to sing with. Guess I thought the magic jukebox would have it! We had to sing without music. Glorious for everyone else I'm sure!
