Lisa's Story
It was so great to get together at the Winery for our 20th reunion. Thanks to Christine, Kathy, Heidi and Mandy for promoting the party!
There's a bunch of you that I missed chatting with; it seems the night went too fast. Let's not wait until our 25th, let's all get together once a year! =)
Here's a little about me since graduation day '88...
While my years since high school haven't been exciting, it's been a happy time.
Attended Akron U part-time, psych major, shared a house there on Brown Street with Kerrie Creter and Wendy Herrick. Also worked part-time at Quaker Square at the Fudge Shop.
We didn't have a TV but those were great times.
I met my husband Al - thanks to an introduction from Rich Pickens - in English 101. We've been married for 15 years.
After Al graduated from Akron U, we lived in South Bend, IN for 4 yrs. We've lived in Gallatin,(outside Nashville) TN now for the last 11...Expand for more
years without falling prey to the southern accent. This is a wonderful area and I recommend everyone to visit Music City USA!
I did eventually graduate with a B.A. from Cumberland University in TN with big plans to be a school psychologist. But I decided to put my psych 'training' to use at home with my 3 little ones.
My latest accomplishments include building Lego Bionicles, spanish vocab lessons from Dora and defeating Ansem in Kingdom Hearts PS2.
As I said, not too exciting but enjoying a simple life.
I've got 100% positive feedback on ebay, love to read scifi/fantasy books, master at couch cushion forts, have a myspace page and I'm Al's top home brew assistant. (latest version of English Ale was a hit!)
Those who remember me probably would say that I was goofy and laughed loud. I haven't changed too much...except for the hair - left the wild BonJovi look behind.
Hope to see y'all soon!
