Alan's Story
I was quiet and somewhat shy during my years at GHS but I remember that it was great fun. I was on a first name basis with the principle, Joe, because I managed to push the limits of acceptable behavior and the dress code.
I moved to Texas in late '69 after Camille blew through. I got married to a family friend I've known for 5 years in June, 1970. I was drafted into the Army in July, 1970. Not much of a honeymoon having to spend time away from my bride.

I have 2 children, Lori and James, 3 grandchildren, Isaiah, Caleb, and Alan.
My wife, my best friend and my companion since our first date in January, 1970, died December 27, 2008. I have completed the grieving and moving forward with my life without her.
Retired in March,2015, but finding that retirement is a waste of time if you're an active individual. I've decided to go back to work and am not going back into engineering because I don't need the stress. Just need something to get me out of the house and keep me busy. Watching my youngest grandson 2-3 days a week just isn't enough to keep me busy.
