Alan's Story
Life
Life: wow...it never stops. Have lived, since I left Nyack, in PA, GA, CA, VA, MD, PA, and now back in NY, in Binghamton. I'm married and have one child, who lives with her mother. She's 14, scary smart, and has complete faith in herself. I'm very proud of my daughter!
I am an aviation planner, specializing in commercial development...or to translate, I plan airports and help them to make money. I spent about 8 years working all over the world for a number of airports, worked for six years at Baltimore/Washington International, and am now back in the consulting ranks (I've gone over to the dark side).
School
My biggest crush...you know who you are, cause I've already told you. Sometimes I wonder if I should have ever left SVHS.
Mr. Hughes was the best teacher I ever had in Nyack. Mr. London (Lenny O'London and Dusk) was the leader ...Expand for more
of the pack at SVHS.
Best moments: Forum, Damn Yankees, Desparate Hours. It was a true pleasure to participate in the pit band and with the drama folks. At SV, there really only were two highlights...my only varsity wrestling match (in spite of what the coach said to my brother about my skills), and a certain German Club picnic where I met my biggest crush.
College
University of Pennsylvania...typical frat rat at an Ivy school. Drank way too much and worked way too little, but managed to survive.
Got an MBA from Temple University. Have since levereaged the pieces of paper into a reasonably successful career.
But its true, everything I ever needed to know I learned in kindergarten.
I was lucky, during my time at Nyack, to get to know a lot of very wonderful people. I know I was an outsider, but I always appreciated those who welcomed me.
