Life
1968: Attended CSULB. Honors Program run by Francis Ford Coppola's brother- brings film student George Lucas-shows "THX1138" made at UCLA. What happened to him?
1973: Join band "Seegull" in Carbon Canyon. Steven Seagal lives in bungalow next door; disappears for months at a time. Better act than he puts on now!
1974: Go on the road with Kokomo. Drummer ends up with Tom Petty; guitarist with America & Dan Fogelberg. Eagles stop by to listen to practice. Johnny Winter passes out on floor.
1975: Manage the McCain's record store in Belmont Shore. Best fun ever!
1976: Built recording studio in Fullerton. Partner goes on to produce Berlin, Stacey Q.
1977: Became Production Control Mgr for record pressing plant in Compton. Most importantly, I married Carole White.
1979-80: My band, Feasting With Panthers, plays the Troubadour. Self-produced album, "Appetizers", goes unnoticed.
1980: My son Morgan born in Long Beach.
1981: Present plan to record companies proposing using MTV ...Expand for more
to market band. Companies say MTV will never amount to anything. Whatever happened to them?
1982: Production Control Mgr for VHD in Irvine.
1983: Move to Musicland Group in Burbank as Warehouse Mgr.
1985: Move to Minneapolis as Production & Facilities Mgr for Musicland. Discover snow blowers. Great place for a 5-year old. Insert image of "Christmas Story" kid in a snowsuit!
1989: Reinvent Musicland's special order business. Discover e-business - management declares the world is flat.
Discover personalization - management says the customer will buy whatever is on the shelf.
1995: Join "Pagans" a sixties revival band. No one goes on to fame.
1997: Start work on a musical "Tesla".
1998: Morgan accepted at Bard College in Hudson Valley, NY.
2000: Director of Operations & Product Development for K-tel.
2001: K-tel declares bankruptcy.
2001: Create business, "Now It's Personal" - personalization integrating bricks & clicks for the retail entertainment business. No customers yet.
