Alan's Story

I love to read crime fiction & listen to classic jazz. I don't appreciate most of the smooth jazz artists. My dad is my hero. I have three brothers and two sisters and I think we all fed off of eachother. I always say that my mom taught us how to love and my dad taught us how to live. By live, I mean, survive and succeed in life. I have two sons, 23 & 13. My oldest speaks five languages and my youngest thinks he's Michael Jordan and God's gift to girls. The thing I've learned most from my kids is to love unconditionally. People screw up, but if you love through everything and teach good habits, most will succeed. My current age is 47. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now ...Expand for more
would be wise. I was so completely close to right. Some are clueless.. My best friend would tell you I'm still kind of calm and reserved, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as calm and reserved. In high school I was a jock and really didn't care about dress on a day to day basis. My dad was and still is a clothes horse. He taught me the meaning of style over trend. I still like comfort clothes (jeans and khakis with Polo shirts), but when I do dress to impress, I am the Man! And I don't mean that Steve Harvey nine button suit crap. I'm talking classic style with personal touches. I was a pugilist while in the service and won a few trophies and medals.
