Alan's Story

Life I did not go to Wheatridge High but moved to Iowa to live with my dad after finishing 9th grade at Everitt Middle School. In high school I went into journalism and got my first job as an animator in a studio that did tv commercials. For college I went to the University of Iowa & got a B.A. in Film and Broadcast. Then moved to Portland Oregon where I did some work in experimental filmmaking while working in a group home for developmentally disabled adults. In 1991 I moved to San Francisco and began working as a camera assistant on movies t...Expand for more
v commercials, music videos etc. I began editing movies, documentaries etc. in a freelance capacity starting in 1995. In 2002 I began working as a segment producer/video editor for a weekly newsmagazine called, "Latin Eyes." The show is in English for Latinos and anyone else who may be interested in Latino culture. This year (2004) it's starting to get some national distribution here and in Great Britian. I moved to the Philadelphia area this year but have kept my job at Latin Eyes. There's another bio (w/photo) on me at the Latin Eyes website.
