Life
I spent the first six years of my professional life as a supervisor of educational media at the University of Cincinnati. I spent the next fourteen years in a progression of sales and management positions culminating as Product Marketing Manager for Solartron Instruments Div. of Schlumberger in Farnburough, England. My offices were in New York and LA and I still lived in Finneytown. I commuted everywhere by airplane and was home five or six weekdays a month. My wife Betty suddenly died in August of 1985. It became very difficult to be an attentive dad to a teenager. I tried for a little over a year but I soon realized that Angela was growing up too fast. She was getting spoiled by the trips to meet dad in NY, LA, Toronto etc for weekend visits when I couldnÃÂt get home. She was more familiar with Harold Square than Fountain Square. She was 13 going on sixteen. I took and early out option during a restructuring to stop the traveling and avoid a relocation move to Boston. In September of 1986 I married a nursing school classmate of my first wife Betty. She brought two children with her. I had always been interested in the printing business so I decided to buy a franchise printing business in 1988 so that I could stay home with my daughter and new wife, Jill. I spent nine years building, operating a successful printing business. After selling it in 1997 I was a self employed Marketing & Management Consultant...Expand for more
serving mostly a printing clientele for about three years. . In 1999 after JillÃÂ's kids and my daughter were gone we sold the big house in Finneytown and moved to Mason, Ohio to an empty nester condo community to get more compact and closer to our ageing parents in a retirement community. I entered the Real Estate business in 2000. I sent nine years preparing taxes for H&R Block office during the tax season. I sell Long Term Care Insurance to round out my financial services for senior clients. My daughter Angela spent seven years and attending three universities and having too much fun before she graduated to be a Recreational Therapy Specialist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. After eight years he went back to school and graduated from Xavier with a Masters in Nursing and transfered to Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital. She gave me a Grand-Son Noah on my 60th birthday in March of '08. I have run Grandpa Daycare for him four days a week since he was eight weeks old. I am have the greatest time of my life watcingh him grow up. Jill & I try to get away as much as possible. We have traveled around the US and the British Isles so far. Jill' is a Nurse Manager in OB at a local hospital. Aging parents have been a challenge in recent years. Only one of the four remains. My father is in a dementia unit in a care facility in close by. We can't travel very far until he passes. Life is good
