Alan's Story

After HS I enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Berlin, Germany. Married Gayle Wicks in 1975. We have a daughter named Michelle who is currently a high-ranking officer in the Army. After I got out of the Army in 1976, I became a police officer in Ashland, Or. Was on patrol for 3 years and a detective for 25 years, specializing in major crimes and...Expand for more
narcotics. Retired in 2005 but was hired back as a background investigator for the next 10 years. While I was a cop I joined the Navy Reserve and served for 16 years there. Recalled to active duty for a year after the Sep 11 attack and served in the Puget Sound that year. Totally retired in 2015 and Gayle and I moved to Hawaii. It is paradise here.
