Life
I have been rebuilding my life after 11 years of a crappy marriage. All has been great so far. I now have full and total custody of my 2 daughters. Amber, age 10 and Lindsay, age 13. I live with my girlfriend, Carrie and her son Tyler, whom is 11. We have a rabid poodle..well he's not really rabid, but he does act goofy. He's a little furball, named Max. We live currently in Streetsboro, Ohio. We are trailer park trash as of now..hehehe. Better than nothing. I have been divorced since December 7th of '04. Life for me has been really great since then. I work for the City of Aurora, Ohio. I have been employed with them for 4 and 1/2 years now. I am a Level II Service Technician. I have my own snow plow route during plow season, and do all kinds of neat stuff the rest of the time. I have learned to operate all kinds of machinery. I got a class B commercial drivers license. Not really thinking about marriage, as of yet. Not really interested. Willl probably be a while. Life is going to well to mess it up. Besides, it's not that important. I gained some poundage over the years, and a month ago, I started on The Souht Beach Diet, and have lost 25 lbs as of today. Lookin' forward to being lean and mean again. Been playin' guitar again. I got a Fender Deluxe Reverb amp over the winter, and gonna get me a Fender Stratocaster by Christmas. After plow season, I will probably find a band. Gets me outta the house. Workin' on tryin' to get my kids deprogrammed, after them being with their Aunt and Uncle for so long. I had to get rid of their mother to get them back. She was NO help. As of now...things are good. ay, no news is good news. Ohhh.. I was also elected to be on our contract negotiation team for our upcoming contract at my work. Our contract expires on december 31, of this year. Since we are all in a Union, we want some things changed, are asking for better wages. We will see what happens. Ok....That's all for now. Later. And then.....
Wow, have'nt been here in a while. Got remarried 3 years ago. Had another child, a boy. Named him Alan Jr, and he's been the light of my life!! He's 2 1/2, as of today, 06/26/2009. I also became a licensed amatuer radio (ham) operator, and my call sign is KD8LEB, in May.
Today is 19-10-2009....a bit has transpired since the last entry. I have been very active in amatuer radio. I became a member of the Amatue Radio Relay League (ARRL), a member of the Portage County, Ohio AMatuer Radio Emergency Service (ARES), a club member of the PCARS (Portage COunty Amatuer Radio Service), and PARC (Portage Amatuer Radio CLub). On the 10th of October, 2009... we all participated in a simulated emergency exercise, which lasted 2 hours. Simulated around the premise of the Swine Flu pandemic, we conducted communications between ARES units, a simulated SkyWARN net exercise, and RACES units communicated with the Red Cross, and the Army MARS units, and we all moved radiograms into the National Traffic System. Pretty intetesting stuff.
Also, I have had the oppertunity to see Peter Frampton, twice within 1 year! Once, in 2008, in Nashville, and again, 3 months ago, at the Wheeling Island Casino, in WHeeling, West Virginia. He can still play that guitar!!!! For an old guy, he can sure still rock!!!!! Why can't I play like that????
