Aleta's Story
Life
After graduating from ACU I began teaching orchestra in Arlington, TX. Married to Wayne 37 years, 2 kids, a son and daughter now in their thirties. Taught 5 years, stayed home 14, taught private music lessons (piano and violin), came back to Arlington to teach beginning orchestra 1992 to 2008. Wayne owned a string instrument rental business, A.B.S., as a retirement income. Wayne developed brain cancer in Oct., 2010 and died July 29, 2011.
I play fiddle and sing harmony in 2 bands for fun. Country Fever specializes in old time country, a la George Jones. Brazo...Expand for more
s Ramblers is a bluegrass/gospel band. Music still feeds my soul!
I also sing some on the worship team at Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ,the church where we have been members since 2003. Before that, we lived in Duncanville, TX and worshiped with the Duncanville Church of Christ.
I am expecting my first grandchildren,twins!, (one of each) in Sept. of 2013.
Currently a co-owner of Wayne's violin shop, learning this new occupation late in life!
Hope my former students remember me fondly, knowing I cared about each of them. Hope they still make music in some fashion.
