I graduated from UCLA and worked as a journalist for most of my career. t years ago I got serious about writing novels, and since then have had two published: The Perfume Factory and The Red Album of Asbury Park Remixed. Both are gritty. realistic and set in NJ. Critics have lauded both and there's interest in The Red Album as a movie. I'm also currently creating a podcast of the book. The podcast will include the songs of numerous contemporary Asbury Park Musicians, including Coleman Brice, Rick Barry, Keith Kenny, Arlan Feiles, David Trotta and many more. The podcast will go up on Podiobooks and also on several websites, including willcall.org and alexaustinnovels.org (there are samples from the podcast currently available on both sites). I'm also working on a new novel, the first chapter of which will be published in the upcoming summer issue of roseandthornjournal.com I'm visiting NJ August 4-12, 2010, and I hope to see many of the people that have supported my writing.".
