Alex Iwaniw:  

Alex lives in Tillamook, Oregon. Alex's schools include Springfield High School. Alex later attended Lane Community College (General Studies), Western Oregon University (Health and Physical Education). Alex worked at Tillamook School District. After graduating from college, I landed my first teaching job at Tillamook Jr. High. I taught Physical Education, Health, Science, Journalism and was the Yearbook advisor. Extra duties included coaching Football, Basketball, and Track. After 15 years at the Junior High I transferred to our High School Alternative School where I was in charge setting up curriculums for individual students to allow them to graduate on time. At the High School I was an Assistant Varsity Football coach and the JV Basketball coach. After five years at the Alternative School, I transferred to the High school to teach Physical Education. I continued my coaching duties. In 1996 I gave up coaching football and concentrated on Basketball. In 1999 I became the Head Basketball Coach. Our teams made to the tournament in six of my eight years as the coach. In 2003, I was fortunate to have a group of athletesI that won the 3A Boys Championship.
