Carolyn's Story
Goodness, how to collapse 20 years into 20K words! I left school and attended the Air Force Academy, graduating in 1989 with a Bach in Biology. I'm currently a Major in the Air Force and am the director of a laboratory. I'll be retiring in May 09 and having the retirement ceremony at Jacksonville Beach so that my entire family can be present. After retirement I'll be a stay at home mom. children, Alexandra and Trey, who are 12 and 8 respectively. During my active duty career I've had the privilege of doing some really neat things like refueling and going inside the 747 with the space shuttle riding piggy back, deploying to Oman, having rides in a T-38 and F-111 jet aircraft, managing a 110 person reference laboratory, and mentoring lots of fantastic young Airman. The Lord has truly granted me the three things I ever wanted in life: to be a wife, a mother, and wear a white lab coat to work.
