Al's Story

I'm back in Charleston and pastoring Pinecrest Baptist Church in West Ashley. Beth (Beth Holand) and I have been wonderfully married 38 years this past December . We have one daughter, April, who graduated from Southeastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC got her Master's in International Studies. She spent a year in China and is about to get married and start Occupational Therapy School at UNC Chapel Hill. Beth is currently teaching at the Art Institute here in Charleston in Interior Design. fficer. A year in El Paso Texas, Ft. Bliss, three in Germany, and my last year outside Savannah at Ft. Stewart. 3 years of seminary in Ft. Worth , Texas and then serving churches in Charlotte, NC, Savannah, GA, and here in Charleston. We are glad to be back in Charleston and plan to live here hopefully forever. Roger and Wendy Funderburke are members of my church and its always good to see someone from what I consider great days of my life. I have been very blessed and love to work in the yard and golf. And I am a Georgia football fanatic. Beth and I Love eating she crab soup.
