Ali's Story
College
Right after high school, I went to Portland Community College in Oregon. I did that for about 1 1/2 years without really getting much out of it, so I stopped going. I ended up going to the International Air Academy in 1996 and got my Airline/Travel Specialist Certificate.
Workplace
After working in non-career jobs after high school I became motivated to pursue a career in the travel industry. After completing my schooling for that, I worked in reservations for Am...Expand for more
erica West and then as a Travel Specialist for the five star resort Turtle Island (located in Fiji). My husband and I even got to go to Fiji for 9 nights (7 nights on Turtle & 2 nights at Sonisali Resort)--all expenses paid! It was awesome! Since having kids I have left the travel industry (who has time to jet off someplace for the weekend with 3 little ones..) I am now a stay at home mom and loving it! I have three kiddos, a son (age 9) and 2 daughters (age 8 and 2)....
