Life
Today is April 14, 2007, and as I write this, my husband, Tom (Center High School, Class of 1987), is discouraging a very enthusiastic seven-year-old and zealous four-year-old from flinging scrambled eggs, toast and bacon at each other. Yes, I am the mother of two boys.
Although I work full-time, my family and other extracurricular activities keep my plate (hmmm...another food reference, so I must be hungry), full. I am the manager of my older son's indoor soccer team that plays 20 weeks during the winter/early spring months. I'm also a Sunday School teacher for three- and four-year olds (are there some interesting days in the classroom!) and the unofficial assistant den leader of our older son's Cub Scout den. I chaired the Pinewood Derby pitstop cafe and learned that the popcorn machine is much harder to operate than it looks. I also volunteer in my older son's second grade classroom every other week. I am very active in the Junior League of St. Louis and will be the Vice President of Community Programs beginning June 1st.

e Director at Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of St. Louis County. My agency serves abused and neglected children through community volunteers who work as child advocates. I love my job, the agency I work for, and the volunteers who make it all happen on behalf of area foster kids. Tom is a Vice President at CB Richard Ellis, a commercial real estate firm, and he celebrated his 12th year at CB last month.
Tom and I met each other at Mizzou in 1991 during my senior year and his first year in Law School. In 1994, Tom graduated from Law School and I finished my Master's coursework. We then moved to St. Louis and were married in 1996.
Before the Rams came to St. Louis, we were very loyal Chiefs fans. Now, however, we sport the blue and gold! I recently attended a Trivia Night benefiting CASA, and I was the only one at my table who knew that Kauffman Stadium is in Kansas City. Even more than the Rams, we bleed red when it comes to our beloved Cardinals. Of course, we keep up with the Mizzou Tigers throughout the year.
